Lied Concert with Konradi and Kim
Kyrgyz soprano together with South Korean tenor. Programme to be announced.
For the Lied concert series, pianist Magnus Svensson invites a hand-picked group of artists from the world’s opera and concert stages, offering audiences the opportunity to experience their artistry in intimate encounters in the Grünewald Hall.
At this concert, we meet Kyrgyz soprano Katharina Konradi, who in recent seasons has attracted wide attention with performances including Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with the Berlin Philharmonic and Mozart’s Requiem at the Elbphilharmonie with the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra under Kent Nagano.
Joining her on stage is South Korean tenor Yohan Kim, who has shone in roles such as Don José in Bizet’s Carmen, Alfredo in Verdi’s La traviata, and Rinuccio in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi. He is also in high demand as a concert soloist and has performed with many of the world’s leading orchestras in works including Rossini’s Stabat Mater, Verdi’s Messa da Requiem, and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony.
